DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry)


DSC consists of measuring the amount of heat supplied to a sample to raise its temperature. These measurements are carried out in differential mode: two measuring cells are used (proteins solution and buffer). The information obtained by this analysis represent the thermodynamic properties of biomolecules (denaturing temperature, phase transition, molecules interaction or dissociation…). It allows to improve process parameters. The used device is a µSC from Setaram.
