Trichloroacetic acid-induced protein precipiation method

Standard, fast, and cost-effective method for precipitating protein, either to get it out a specific buffer, stop a reaction, or to concentrate samples (e.g. for SDS-PAGE). This method is also classically used to determine enzymatic hydrolyses profiles by measure of the absorbance at 280 nm of the remaining soluble peptides content in the supernatant (after adding trichloroacetic acid).
